The latest announcements and our product roadmap.
Today, we are announcing the EOM for the old document templates. From 22 July 2024, we will no longer maintain or support the old document templates (in the menu: Setup » Client » Locations » Documents as well as the templates for the purchase order documents) or the old document generation logic. This applies to all beta, early and stable systems. We therefore recommend that you switch to DocumentBuilder.
We take this measure in preparation for the EOL, which we will announce separately in the foreseeable future. The advance notice period for the EOL will be longer than for the EOM. Nonetheless, you should begin making the switch to the new system in good time, if you have not done so already.
What do I need to do if I have not switched to DocumentBuilder yet?
The EOM will not involve switching off the old templates or the old logic. You can therefore continue to use them in the interim period.
We nevertheless strongly recommend that you switch to DocumentBuilder, not only because DocumentBuilder has a wider range of functionalities and can cater to more use cases, but also because it makes sense to make the switch sooner, before the EOL is announced.
What do I need to do if I already use DocumentBuilder?
If you have already switched to DocumentBuilder and created all the document templates you need for it, there is nothing more to do.
Should you have any questions about DocumentBuilder or require support in this area, please contact our support team via the usual forum channels. You can also refer to our FAQ DocumentBuilder and our Manual for more information on DocumentBuilder and on making the switch to it.
