The new EmailBuilder has been available since summer 2021. Thanks to your extensive feedback, the EmailBuilder has grown by many functions since then.

We would like to inform you that we will discontinue maintenance and support for the old email templates under Setup » Client » [Select client] » Email » Templates from March 4, 2024.

We will fix critical bugs that prevent you from working.

From March 6, 2024, it will no longer be possible to create new email templates outside the EmailBuilder. This applies to all beta, early and stable systems.

Advantages of the EmailBuilder:

• Simply create email templates with drag-and-drop – without any HTML knowledge

• Create one email template for all languages

• More than 350 variables ensure maximum flexibility

• Multiple attachments can be sent

• Thanks to Multipart despatch, your emails are sent in an HTML and a text version at the same time. Therefore, there is no need to create two versions.

• Expert mode for individual requirements

  • Instead of the widgets, you can define the entire HTML structure of the expert templates within a code editor in expert mode. You can find more information about this in our forum.

What do I have to do if I have been using the old templates up to now?

The old templates will not be switched off on the EOM date. They can still be used, edited and deleted. In theory, you do not need to take any action until the EOM. Nevertheless, we recommend that you migrate the old email templates to EmailBuilder in good time in accordance with the instructions and not wait until shortly before the shutdown. Parallel operation is therefore possible. We recommend gradually updating migrated templates to the latest version. Further information can be found in the forum and in our user manual.

In case you created more templates in the Setup » Client » [Select client] » Email » Templates menu, after you carried out the migration: You can manually migrate the old templates to the EmailBuilder with just one click. How this is done, is described here in detail.

What do I have to do when I am already using the EmailBuilder?

You don’t need to do anything else.
