In the variation detail view of the new item UI it is now possible to generate a catalog preview for a variation.

How to access the preview?

There catalog preview is accessible via the more menu in the toolbar of the variation detail view:

Additionally, the catalog preview button can be added to the toolbar directly:

How does the preview work?

After selecting a specific catalog, a export preview for a variation is generated. There are three cases:

• for the selected catalog a preview is not available

• the catalog is not fully configured

• the variation is not fully configured

If one or more of those cases apply, it will be displayed on top, since it requires manual adjustments on the part of the user. Underneath, the export preview for the variation is displayed as a table.

Here is an example of a catalog export preview, where the catalog is not fully configured and the variation is missing data required by the catalog:

The elements „The catalog is not fully configured.“ as well as „The variation is not fully configured.“ are expandable and provide details:

Are there limitations?

Due to technical limitations catalog previews are not available for all catalogs and only for catalogs with the format type „Item (new)“.
