We are pleased to announce an important update to our OTTO Market integration, designed to help you seamlessly meet the upcoming requirements of the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). This update ensures that your products listed on OTTO Market comply with the GPSR ahead of its enforcement date on 13 December 2024. 

Ensuring legal compliance through seamless field mapping

The GPSR modernizes the existing safety framework for products sold within the European Union, requiring merchants to provide the name, address, phone number, and email address of the manufacturer or European Representative. These required fields have successfully been integrated into the catalog templates, this allows our sellers to map the fields and display the information on OTTO Market listings. 

All merchants are now responsible for providing product safety information according to GPSR for each item in their catalog. This will allow online shoppers on OTTO Market to view essential safety details in line with updated standards. 

Therefore, you must complete the setup of the GPSR safety information fields by December 13, 2024 to avoid any disruptions in managing product listings.

New fields in Catalogue and Item Export

The catalogue templates have been updated to include a new group named "Manufacturer / EU Responsible Person." This group contains the following fields for mapping:

• Name

• Email address

• Address

• Phone number

For guidance on setting up these fields, please refer to the manual.

In the old export format, information for the manufacturer or EURP is automatically drawn from Setup » Item » Manufacturers and formatted in the CSV file for each product.

• If the EURP information is maintained, it will be prioritised for transfer.

• If the EURP details are incomplete, manufacturer information will be used instead.
