With the new plentyShop LTS version 5.0.64 we bring you an update with performance improvements, SEO optimisations and, as always, bug fixes and small usability improvements.

With this update, we are implementing a long-planned change: All item images in the webshop now inform the browser of their height and width before they are loaded. This allows the browser to reserve space accordingly, which can prevent displacements during the loading process.

This allows you to reduce the so-called Content Layout Shift (CLS), which increases the user-friendliness of the shop and achieves better values in performance measurement tools such as Google Page Speed Insights.

In addition, with the help of the community, we have identified many areas where accessibility could be improved.

Finally, some minor search engine optimisations were implemented alongside a few bug fixes. 

Last but not least, guests will have the option of initiating a return from the order confirmation page. If this is not desired, the corresponding widget can be removed from the ShopBuilder content of the guest order confirmation.
