Released: OTTO App Update & Implementation of Shipping Profiles

OTTO Market aims to improve the accuracy of delivery times by utilizing shipping profiles created by merchants. To enable the use of OTTO shipping profiles, we have implemented a new update process for the app that connects PlentyONE to OTTO Market. Additionally, as communicated by OTTO, we have created Version 2 of the "plentysystems" app, which facilitates the integration of improvements and new features.

App Update

With this Version 2 of the app, it is now possible to import OTTO shipping profiles directly via the OTTO Market API.

Shipping Profiles

After installing Version 2 of the app, the shipping profiles created in the OTTO Partner Connect backend will be imported for mapping in the catalogue. Additionally, a new field for processing time has been integrated into the catalogue to enable dynamic updates of processing times per SKU.

New step in the OTTO Market assistant

To simplify the maintenance of shipping profiles and processing time, an additional step has been added to the OTTO Market assistant. This step is available during the transition phase and provides an easy way to apply the appropriate shipping profiles and processing times to all existing catalogues without the need to edit each OTTO catalogue individually.

Here's what you need to consider

App Update

It is extremely important to install the new app version (via PlentyONE) and complete all necessary steps. Only if the new version is installed will inventory transfer and delivery time updates from the system be ensured beyond March 31, 2024.

Please do not uninstall App Version 1, as it will be used as a fallback to ensure data exchange.

Attention: OTTO Market offers the option to initiate the installation of App Version 2 via OTTO Partner Connect. However, this is currently not possible for PlentyONE systems due to existing issues. Therefore, the installation must be performed using the OTTO Market Assistant in PlentyONE.

Managing shipping profiles & processing time

For the OTTO shipping profiles created in OTTO Partner Connect to be visible in PlentyONE, they must first be created in OTTO Partner Connect and App Version 2 must be installed.

The new step in the OTTO Market Assistant fills all empty fields after selecting a suitable OTTO shipping profile for each OTTO shipping method. Existing mappings will not be overwritten. To adjust individual mappings, the editing function within the respective OTTO catalogue must be used.
