The latest announcements and our product roadmap.
We understand that timely information is essential for your planning and operations. Therefore, we sincerely apologize for the delay in providing this important update.
We are pleased to share some key updates regarding the transition to the Amazon Listing Items API. Your feedback, particularly concerning the initially planned migration timeline, has been carefully considered and is taken very seriously.
We understand that changes and migrations require valuable time and resources from you. As a result, following thorough internal discussions and consultations with many of you, we've decided to adjust our approach by decoupling the required switch to the Listing API from the migration to the new catalogue.
To ensure uninterrupted business operations, we have developed an adapter that seamlessly integrates the old flat file logic with the new Listing API. This adapter allows you to continue using your existing product data for the time being. Therefore, migrating to the new catalogue by 31 March 2025 will not be mandatory. In light of these changes, we are currently revising our migration plan for the transition to the new catalogue.
However, there is an important change requiring your action:
Amazon has introduced new mandatory attributes that were not included in the previous flat files. You will need to set up these attributes as properties in your system. The number of new fields varies depending on the product type.
The adapter will enter the internal testing phase this week.
To make the adapter available to everyone as quickly as possible, we are actively looking for merchants to support us with testing. If you're interested in being part of the test programme and providing your valuable feedback, please contact your account manager or email us at am@plentyone.com.
The adapter will provide you with a compact user interface that makes it easy to check for missing values. You will then need to create these as properties accordingly.
We will keep you updated on the progress of the tests and the availability of the adapter, and provide a list of all new properties to be created.
We're aware that these changes may require additional work. However, we're here to support you and will provide you with comprehensive information and assistance.
We look forward to your feedback and are always happy to answer any questions you may have.
