News: Reorder and Redistribution are leaving Closed Beta and entering Open Beta

We are pleased to announce that the new Reorder and Redistribution UIs Closed Beta has come to an end and the Open Beta has begun.

The new UIs are now available in all systems with the old UIs remaining available until at least February 2025.

What can you expect with the new reorder and redistribution features?

  • In general, we’ve split the UIs into two separate menu entries to give you more flexibility in customising your UIs. Not every filter or field is applicable to both features.

  • The new UIs now follow the familiar (compact view and list view) structure of the order UI and have a similar creation process with the well-known 3-step flow. The UIs also now include the editing mode, allowing you to adjust the UI to your needs. These are the first UIs with inline editing, meaning you no longer need to switch to the edit views for every detail – you can now make changes directly in the detail view.

  • Both UIs feature a new locking mechanism: they remain locked during “execution,” but this lock can be lifted, allowing you to make changes afterward. The unlocking is tied to a specific user right, so you can decide which user can unlock the reorder or redistribution. The unlocking action is recorded in the history log, giving you full control.

  • The target warehouse can still be changed in an unlocked reorder until the first transaction is processed. So, if your delivery gets redirected to another warehouse at the last moment, this can also be handled.

  • If the delivery ends up in the wrong warehouse, you now have the option to create a redistribution directly from the reorder to move the goods to the correct warehouse.

  • We’ve also fulfilled a long-awaited request: Reorders are now client-enabled. This means you can select the desired client during setup or change it later on an existing reorder. Client support also includes the ability to configure and use the relevant document and email templates, so they won’t all be sent from the default client anymore.

  • It’s now possible to split a reorder if needed to support your internal processes.

  • You can also add items to the reorder that are not yet in your product range, but were, for example, simply included in the container shipment. This is done using a dummy, which you can later assign, just like in the order UI, once it’s fully created. You can then process it as usual.

  • Item tables have undergone some changes, such as a dedicated search function to quickly check, even in large orders, whether an item is already included or how many have been ordered. The tables have also been expanded with several fields, which you can easily display if you need more information.

As you can see, a lot has been updated, and we look forward to your feedback. Naturally, we’ve also updated our manual, which you can access via this link if needed:

Both UIs now include tours to guide you through the interface.

We’re also planning a short showcase video, which we will release soon, to guide you through reorders and redistributions and show off some of the new features.
