As part of our ongoing efforts for improvements and delivering a more stable and future-ready platform, we have made the decision to discontinue PayPal plugin versions below 6.5.2. The official EOL date is 06 August 2025.

Reasons for the deactivation

This essential step will ensure a stable foundation on which we will be able to migrate to the core-only solution we are currently developing. Limiting plugin versions that have roughly the same main features and adjustments has several advantages:

• Prevention of migration issues from older plugin versions

• Reduction of technical complexity caused by supporting multiple older versions

• Simplified guarantee of data security

Impact and required action

Existing installations with older versions will no longer work from the above-mentioned effective date. To avoid disruption and benefit from the latest improvements, we strongly recommend upgrading to the latest supported version as soon as possible.
