What’s Next? Your Present & Future with PlentyONE
In transitioning to PlentyONE, our focus has not been solely on new designs, logos, or slogans. We recognise that some of you have expressed concerns and raised constructive feedback regarding our product portfolio and service offerings, and we take this input very seriously.
We want to directly address any rumours suggesting that we may be moving away from our established customers. While PlentyONE is expanding to support global enterprises, small and medium-sized retailers, brands, and manufacturers remain at the heart of our focus.
We will also demonstrate this by offering entry-level editions of PlentyONE in the near future – similar to what we did with plentymarkets – to meet the diverse needs of our customers. Growth and scalability don't only begin at the top with a few global players!
Our Developer Spirit Remains Stronger than ever:
Your honest feedback is incredibly valuable to us, as it helps us continuously improve our offerings. You can trust that we are working diligently on solutions to address the challenges raised and further enhance the user-friendliness of our software. We will soon release an updated offering to reflect these improvements.
We’re also mindful that change often brings questions and, at times, concerns. First and foremost, many of you may be wondering:
“What’s changing for me and specifically for my collaboration with Plenty?”
Our answer is actually short and simple - nothing changes.
Your existing contracts remain as they are.
Going forward, however, all new contracts will be conducted exclusively under the PlentyONE brand.

FAQ
"What exactly is PlentyONE now? How does it differ from plentymarkets?"
PlentyONE is our registered brand and now consolidates all existing "old" plentymarkets contracts, such as the CLASSIC, as well as the product offering and sub-brand plentyONE introduced in 2023.
While plentymarkets previously primarily targeted micro-retailers and SMEs, and plentyONE was aimed at enterprise customers, we now address businesses of all sizes under our single-brand strategy, PlentyONE.
Therefore, PlentyONE is not merely a tariff, a specific version, an exclusive feature, or an additional service—It encompasses a comprehensive portfolio of offerings tiered according to additional selectable services, individual customer configurations, and extensions.
We offer different contract models that vary in pricing and, consequently, in the scope of included services.
All our contract offerings—whether previously under plentymarkets or now PlentyONE—are a combination of cutting-edge technology, i.e., our platform and its functionalities, and a range of service options. Customers have the flexibility to choose their preferred level of support. Therefore, if you wish to continue using the self-services and do not want to take up additional service offerings, you are not obliged to do so.
Access to the e-commerce ERP platform remains unchanged. Its fundamental features for marketplace and online shop integrations—including integrated payment options, product management, order processing, inventory management, warehouse management, shipping & fulfilment—as well as ongoing platform updates, is available in both the old and new contracts.
"Is PlentyONE suitable for SMEs?"
Yes, we are currently developing a contract option specifically tailored to meet the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). PlentyONE provides a variety of contract models at different price levels, ensuring flexibility for businesses of all sizes and requirements.
"Can I use PlentyONE without support? Is it possible to access only the platform without a service package?"
Yes, you can. While our service offerings are designed to position PlentyONE as a strategic partner for our customers, the choice of service level remains entirely up to you.
We differentiate between Managed Services, Assisted Services, and Self-Services. Each customer can decide which service option best suits their needs.
If you prefer to independently manage and maintain your software setup, our Self-Service option allows you to do so. You’ll have full access to the platform and can work autonomously. Additionally, our standard support system is available to assist you, which includes phone support, comprehensive documentation, chat options, and forums.
For customers seeking extra support, you have the option to book additional Managed Services for marketplace integrations and/or retail media and digital marketing, as well as consulting or onboarding services. You can choose to have PlentyONE handle the majority of your setup, or simply get assistance for specific areas while staying in control.
There’s no requirement to use Managed or Assisted Services—whether or not to take advantage of these is entirely your decision.
"Will I still be able to use and set up the platform without agency support in the future?"
Yes, absolutely. We place great importance on continuously improving the UI/UX of our software to ensure it remains as intuitive as possible. This includes features like Guided Tours and setup assistants, which are already integrated into the system.
Additionally, we provide a variety of support resources to assist you, including video tutorials, developer documentation, the Plenty Handbook, chat support, and the Product Information Hub. The Hub includes announcements from our product teams and a roadmap to give you a complete overview of the platform and PlentyONE.
Why was plentyONE launched in 2023?
plentyONE was introduced in 2023 alongside plentymarkets as a second (product) brand of plentysystems AG. While plentymarkets primarily targeted micro-retailers and SMEs, plentyONE was initially focused on mid-sized and larger retailers with (international) growth ambitions. Furthermore, plentyONE expanded its focus beyond just retailers to include brands and manufacturers pursuing a D2C strategy.
To address the diverse needs of these distinct target groups, the service portfolio was enhanced with additional offerings. Separate entry points were created to cater to both audiences effectively.
Why a Single Brand?
The strategic decision to unify under one strong brand marks a significant step in our pursuit of excellence: technologically and personally, across development and operations, in consulting and service. By consolidating our strengths and expertise, we are able to offer retailers and manufacturers a comprehensive, innovative, and flexible portfolio. This portfolio is designed to simplify access to sales channels, optimise processes intelligently, and accelerate time-to-market – ultimately boosting revenue generation for ambitious retailers, brands, and manufacturers.
What will happen to plentymarkets? Will we phase out plentymarkets?
With our decision to adopt a single-brand strategy, we are bringing together the best of plentysystems, plentymarkets, and plentyONE under one unified brand. This will provide clear structures, a streamlined product portfolio, and simplify processes and communication channels – all for the benefit of our customers, partners, employees, and businesses focused on growth. In PlentyONE, we consolidate all the experience, knowledge, and confidence we’ve gained over the years, while always looking back on plentymarkets with pride and gratitude. Customers with existing plentymarkets contracts will, of course, continue to use them.
What will happen to the plentymarkets contracts now that there is only one brand?
With the consolidation of our brands under PlentyONE, it goes without saying that new contracts will only be concluded under the PlentyONE brand. Our customers who already have a plentymarkets contract will, of course, continue with their current agreement. However, switching to a different plentymarkets contract, such as from plentymarkets CLASSIC to plentymarkets FLEX, will no longer be possible.
It is common practice in the industry to develop and release certain features for specific editions. Therefore, we reserve the right to make selected new features available exclusively to customers with a PlentyONE contract.
“Will plentymarkets contracts come to an end?”
No, all existing plentymarkets contracts, including BASIC, CLASSIC, FLEX, PLUS, and ENTERPRISE, will remain in place and valid. However, these contracts are no longer being actively offered to new customers. Customers with such contracts can continue to make adjustments within the limits of their agreements, such as adding an additional user.
If your needs exceed the contractual limits, transitioning to a current PlentyONE contract will be necessary.
Example:
If you are a FLEX customer, your contract allows you to use up to 40 warehouses. If you currently use 30 and wish to increase this to 40, you can do so without requiring a contract change. However, if you wish to exceed 40 warehouses, such as moving to 43, you would need to switch to a PlentyONE contract.
For customers with older contracts, such as PURE (formerly ZERO) or ADVANCED—both officially retired before the brand consolidation—you can continue using your existing options. However, as with plentymarkets contracts, no further changes to these agreements can be made. Should you require additional services beyond your current limits, transitioning to a PlentyONE contract will also be necessary.
Why was the name PlentyONE chosen?
The name plentymarkets has accompanied us for many years and has become well-established in the market. However, as a company, brand, and product, we’ve evolved so significantly over time that we’ve outgrown the name. While marketplace integration remains in our DNA, PlentyONE offers much more: we support medium-sized and large brands and retailers across the entire e-commerce value chain – technologically, strategically, and operationally with expert advice. The name PlentyONE allows us to reflect this approach in the long term.
Was the consolidation into PlentyONE planned from the start?
No, consolidation was not part of the original plan. The brand plentyONE was launched in 2023 alongside plentymarkets as a second (product) brand of plentysystems AG to address additional target groups. This created a structure with three primary brands, which in the past often led to complexity and confusion. As a result, in Q4 2023, we decided to rework our brand strategy with a forward-looking approach. By choosing a unified brand, we are now consolidating the strengths of plentyONE, plentymarkets, and plentysystems. This strategic decision allows us to offer a comprehensive range of services and position ourselves as a leading brand in e-commerce, providing clear direction for all stakeholders in our ecosystem (employees, partners, customers, and prospects).
What does the consolidation of the three brands mean for our partners?
Our partners will remain a key component of our strategy – both agency and technology partners. The consolidation of our brands and the revision of our brand architecture were already hinted at during the Partner Day in June, and these changes have been incorporated into the updates of our partner programs. As such, there will be no changes in this regard. We will soon provide information about our new brand and communication materials in the Partner Portal.
