We’ve finalized our planned enhancement for the PayPal integration – local payment methods and payment on invoice are now officially available in your shop!

Alternative Payment Methods (APMs)

With PayPal Checkout, you can meet your customers’ preferences by accepting a wide variety of payment methods. After a simple integration, you’ll be able to offer – in addition to the four most popular options (PayPal, direct debit, credit/debit card, and, if available, purchase on invoice) – more than ten local payment methods in various currencies from over 200 markets worldwide. For example, your customers in Austria can pay with eps, and those in the Netherlands can use iDeal as usual. This wide range of local options makes your shop more attractive to customers across the globe.

Pay Upon Invoice (PUI)

PayPal Checkout also lets your customers choose the popular purchase on invoice¹ option. Many people appreciate this method because they don’t have to enter sensitive payment data and can check the goods at their leisure. It’s a convenient solution for everyone: you get your money from PayPal right away, and your customers only pay after 30 days – even without a PayPal account.

¹ Qualification and availability depend on merchant status, industry, and integration. Customer availability subject to credit check.

How to get this update

The new payment methods are available as soon as you update your shop instance.

To do so, go to Shop > Administration in the backend and select "Update Shop" via the three-dot menu. After the update, you can start using the new features right away.
