Released: Introducing Consistent Progress Indicators

We are releasing a unified progress indicator system across the platform. This enhancement addresses one of the most frequent points of user feedback: unclear waiting times and inconsistent loading feedback across different parts of the system.

Until now, feedback on ongoing processes was fragmented and sometimes barely noticeable—for example, the animated profile icon in the navigation bar. By implementing clear and consistent progress indicators, we’re giving you better visibility into what the system is doing, reducing frustration, and ultimately improving your daily workflow.

These changes will be shipped today.

Here's what's new

  • Unified design language: Progress indicators now follow a consistent visual and functional logic across the entire system. Whether you are generating documents, applying filters in large tables, or waiting for stock data to load, you’ll encounter the same intuitive visual cues.

  • Context-appropriate indicators: We display progress contextually, where the action occurs, on a button or in a dialog.

  • Skeleton loaders for pages: When loading complex UIs, skeleton screens give you a visual outline of what’s coming.

  • Background task handling: Large tasks such as bulk downloads or mass document creation no longer block your work. Instead, progress is displayed in a Task center, accessible from the right side of the navigation bar.

This is where we go from here

We will continue refining the design guidelines to cover more scenarios and components. Beyond progress indicators, our next focus will be improving system feedback for success and error states. This means clearer confirmation when tasks are completed successfully and more actionable error messages when something goes wrong—so you always know what happened and what to do next.
