We would like to inform you that our Ricardo integration will be officially discontinued effective August 31, 2024. From this date, the marketplace integration will no longer be available and will not be receiving any further updates or support services.

Reasons for the discontinuation

As part of a strategic realignment, Ricardo has decided to focus on specific categories and exclusively offer used and B-grade goods in the future. This has significantly reduced the potential for active merchants, and the marketplace is perceived by fewer and fewer merchants as an attractive platform for growth in the Swiss market.

In addition, Ricardo will deactivate the API interface previously used by plentysystems on August 31, 2024, as it is switching from SOAP to JSON. This decision was communicated by Ricardo at short notice, meaning that no alternative can be offered at this time.

Whether a new integration will be pursued in the future depends on the strategic direction. We will discuss this with the merchants and Ricardo in the coming months.

The marketplace will remain fully functional until 31/08/2024. Our support team will be available for questions and support until the EOL date.
