To improve the accessibility of product listings and meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA), PlentyONE now supports the transmission of alt-texts for images when exporting product data to Kaufland.

Here's what’s new

• Catalogue export: You can now map and export image alt-texts via the catalogue for both product creation and updates.

• Legacy export (Germany): Alt-texts are automatically transmitted with each image, no manual mapping needed.

What you need to do

If you're using the catalogue export, please update the Image List mapping in your Kaufland catalogue:

• Select "Complete Image Information" from the dropdown for Image information.

• Make sure that alt-texts are entered for your images in the relevant language (e.g. German for kaufland.de).

Customers using the legacy export do not need to take any action — alt-texts are exported automatically if available.
