The Amazon integration in PlentyONE is switching to Amazon’s new interface. This affects all sellers using the Amazon in PlentyONE.
To avoid disruptions in your product data and offer update or creation process, please review the upcoming changes and prepare your system accordingly.
Original Deadline: July 27
Extended Deadline: TODAY, July 31
By this date, you must decide whether you want to use the catalogue or the adapter (Interim solution until approx. October) for your product and offer export to Amazon.
For price changes or creating new offers, we highly recommend switching to the offer catalogue as soon as possible.
Steps for the transition to catalogue-based integration
You’ll need to use the new Amazon catalogue structure. Get familiar with how it works and how to configure your product and offer data correctly.
If you are affected by the changes, start configuring your catalogues now to ensure your listings remain up to date and can still be updated via PlentyONE.
Note:
Manual export is currently not affected by these changes.
Other processes such as order import, messaging, shipping confirmations are not affected by this change.
If you only send stock updates via Plenty to amazon no changes are needed
Understanding the difference between product and offer catalogues
With the new Amazon interface in PlentyONE, data exchange for creating and updating Amazon listings takes place via two clearly separated catalogue types:
What is the difference between item data and offer data?
Item data (e.g. title, brand, bullet points, technical details) describes the item itself. This data is ASIN-related and therefore the same for all sellers. It is transferred to Amazon via a product catalogue.
Offer data (e.g. price, stock, delivery time, condition) is specific to each seller and can differ. It is transferred to Amazon via an offer catalogue.
When do I need product catalogues and offer catalogues?
To actually sell the item on Amazon, you also need to create an offer catalogue containing seller-specific data such as price and stock. With a product catalogue, you can list an item that is not yet available on Amazon, but to sell the item on Amazon, you also need an offer catalogue for this item.
Create an offer catalogue if the item you want to sell is already listed on Amazon. With the offer catalogue, you transfer your offer data, such as price, stock, shipping costs, etc., to Amazon.
