Smooth inventory management is essential in e-commerce to maintain efficient and uninterrupted business operations. A key part of this is the  redistribution of items, which allow you to move inventory between different warehouses or reallocate products as needed. To make this process as simple and efficient as possible, we have developed a new stock transfer UI in plentymarkets. This UI is built on the foundations of both the new Order UI and the improved reordering UI. As a result, merchants can manage their stock transfers with greater clarity and flexibility, ensuring that their goods are always in the right place at the right time.

Innovations and Optimisations

• We've introduced a new Create process for redistributions that follows the same familiar workflow as the order creation process. This consistency means you won’t have to learn a new system – redistributions will have the same look and feel as the order module, making the transition smooth and intuitive.

• Redistributions are now also client-specific. When creating a redistribution, you can select a client, ensuring that the correct email or document templates are automatically applied. This adds flexibility and ensures precision in your communications and documentation.

• To further streamline your workflow, we've implemented the editing mode, allowing you and your team to customise views to suit your specific needs. Whether you prefer a clean overview or detailed insights, you can structure your workspace to maximise efficiency.

• Our new lock logic provides you with more control. If changes are needed after creating a redistribution, you can unlock it (with the appropriate user rights), make your adjustments, and then lock it again to secure the changes.

• In addition, redistributions will be among the first to feature our new inline table editing. This means you can edit fields directly within the table without needing to switch back and forth between editing views. This feature is still in development and will see further improvements soon.

We are currently in the internal testing phase, where we are working through bugs and making small refinements. If no further issues are found, we plan to synchronise the open beta release of redistributions with the reorder module, aiming for end of September or shortly after the reorder’s open beta release.
