Introducing New Editor for Shop Design
With our new shop, we have created a powerful e-commerce solution based on PWA technology which will bring an innovative, high performance, app-like shopping experience to all PlentyONE customers.
Close collaboration with early adopters allowed us to thoroughly vet the technological basis of the new shop system. At this point, technical knowledge or agency support are required to build and maintain a shop. With our next big feature, we aim to empower all users to adapt the design, structure, and content of the shops without coding expertise required.
Intuitive and seamless design
Our goal is to make the creation and management of an online shop as intuitive and accessible as possible – with and without technical expertise. With the new editor, we provide you with the tools allowing you to design and adapt your shops more easily, quickly and flexibly.
For merchants, the new editor provides more independence in shop design without the need for technical knowledge. You will be able to quickly implement changes through pre-built blocks and real-time previews. Additionally, the editor will enable a shorter time-to-market for new campaigns and content.
Agencies benefit from the reduction of routine requests for small adjustments, allowing them to focus on more complex projects and individual customer requirements.
Everyone using the new editor will experience improved efficiency and flexibility due to its intuitive operation and the high performance of the underlying PWA technology.
Sequenced rollout for earliest availability
The editor will initially be rolled out in 3 development stages in order to make the feature available for productive use as early as possible:
Homepage Design: Merchants will be able to design their homepage using pre-built content blocks such as banners, product lists, or text-image combinations, and adjust basic design elements like colours and fonts. A live preview will show all changes in real-time.
Content Pages: Extended features will enable the creation and editing of new content pages, such as "About Us" or campaign pages.
Base Editor: A comprehensive set of functions – from customising the footer and logo to managing all key design and content areas – will complete the first development phase.
Our goal is to create a platform that enables quick adjustments while remaining flexible enough to meet individual requirements.
The editor is based on the PWA technology of the new shop by PlentyONE. This architecture ensures exceptional performance and user-friendliness.
After the completion of the above-mentioned features, we will continuously expand and improve the editor with many more features to provide even greater flexibility.
