Channel Maps, in its first version, allows you to map fields much faster and more efficiently. Currently, in a dedicated UI, common fields can be mapped across categories, channel-wide, and it is possible to interact between catalogues and maps. From this starting point we will develop further, in order to offer a more comprehensive set of features.
Covering more use cases and enhancing user experience
This new iteration of Channel Maps will offer the following functionalities:
Allow deletion of maps: It will be possible to delete maps, as long as they do not have any catalogues connected to it;
Implement search for detail page: The search tool on the detail page will be improved for both maps and catalogues
Handle information from marketplace: If a marketplace updates requirements, the maps will be impacted. Therefore, we are investigating how this challenge can be mitigated.
Provide description of fields in maps and catalogues: In order to support you with a clear mapping, we will provide a new field that will clarify further what a specific field is expected to contain. This will be implemented for both catalogues and maps.
This set of features is aiming to level up your experience with Channel Maps and to cover the most urgent use cases that remained unaddressed by the minimum viable product initially launched.
