Streamlining Application Management for the Shop
We are pleased to announce that we are working on an important update aimed at improving the experience for both merchants and agencies using our new Shop.
As it stands, the process of delivering and managing Shops differs depending on whether they are based on our default application or a custom one provided by agencies. This difference has created challenges in support, updates, and application management, which we’re addressing with a unification of these workflows.
Here's what’s changing
We will introduce a new system that allows for the seamless deployment and management of Shops. This update will empower merchants to handle configuration changes and application deployments autonomously, without relying on agencies for every update. The first stages of this process will be focused on enabling merchants to manage and configure their applications through a unified interface.
Empowering Merchants and Agencies alike
Merchants will benefit from the following.
Autonomous App Handling: Merchants will be able to deploy configuration changes and manage applications independently, freeing them from needing agency support for every change.
Standardized User Experience: Whether a Shop is developed by PlentyONE or an agency, merchants will experience a consistent interface and behaviour across the board.
Enhanced Quality Assurance: By unifying the way applications are handled, we can implement more robust quality checks, ensuring higher consistency and reliability in the applications offered, whether by us or agencies.
For Agencies, this update will lay the groundwork to more efficiently manage their customers shops and custom shop integrations. Agencies will have enhanced control over their clients' applications, making it easier to deploy updates and manage multiple customer instances in a unified way.
